Christmas is one of those times throughout the year that we gather with family and friends to celebrate. Christmas is a time to reflect on what is, was, and will be important in your life. Christmas is about who is important in your life. Christmas is about The Joy of that First Christmas.

Christmas is many things to many different people, to some it is a time for rejoicing and celebrating, to others it simply another day on the calendar.  

While watching Oprah's Christmas Kindness show today I could not help but be reminded of the number of children around the world who will never know the joys of Christmas as our children do.

Be important in the life of a child

I invite you to join me as we witness the wonder of that very first Christmas. 

We will be sitting on the bleachers surrounding the park, but we could just as easily be overlooking the town of Bethlehem.  Peeking in as we follow Joseph as he leads the donkey into the village, carrying Mary on its back. The horses will come galloping in as the soldiers round up the townspeople to pay their taxes...the children escape, playing tag as they run around the bonfires.

As quiet descends on the set you may be able to hear the lambs baa, as the first cry of baby Jesus breaks the spell. The townspeople gather round to see this wondrous thing that has come to pass.

Please join us for this 30 minute production, bring your friends, many are touched by this presentation. 

The Living Nativity will be presented in Uxbridge's Centennial Park  (located just behind the Town Offices)

Over 130 actors are expected to participate in this four day (2 shows per evening) outdoor narrated recreation that includes. authentic costumes and live animals. Amongst the actors will be a donkey, sheep, goats, chickens, calves, ponies, and horses. In 2005 over 5,000 enjoyed the show.  This production was first presented in 1974. Uxbridge is blessed with a special Christmas presentation alternating every other year. This year it is the presentation of the  Christmas Story and next year it will be the wonderful music of Handel's Messiah.

Have you ever noticed how some images leave a lasting imprint on your mind, that some images from your early childhood stay with you for ever, and others from yesterday are hard to recall today.

On the way home, after sitting up all night with my mother as she passed on to her reward, I pulled over on the side of the road to watch a glorious sunrise. I could almost hear the angels singing as she was welcomed into heaven.

This is a picture that I am sure will stay with me for the rest of my life. Every time I drive past the spot where I stopped I will be reminded of my mother and all that she taught me, all that she stood for and all that she was. In time the memories of her illness will fade but not the blessings she bestowed on all who considered her a friend, mother, grandmother, mother inlaw. She was an inspiration to many.

In this materialistic world that we live in it is hard to believe that people still live in mud huts. While you may think the picture below is a picture out of a history book or National geographic it is a picture of a small villaga in Ghana. No electricity, no running water, no indoor plumbing, where your bed is the dirt floor and yet everyone I met had a smile on their face. This is another image that will be with me the rest of my life.

The moral of these lovely stories - we only get a few seconds to capture our clients attention when they click onto our web site...if we want them to remember us, and come back, we need to make a favourable and lasting impression. 

Those of us who use the Internet to promote our product are fully aware that image is everything whether it be a listing or information how it is presented can make the difference in the eyes of the viewer. If they like the image we portray will they come back to our web site? Most Likely.
